Spoiler Tags: An added feature in the Add tags section of the Full Reply area. With this tag if you want to discuss a movie, tv series, sports, jokes (hide a punch line), or anything you can think up where you want to hide any of the aforementioned information temporarily so as not to 'spoil' it for someone else you can use this tag. In order to hide something in the Spoiler tags you will need to highlight the text and press the button. When you post everything that is within those tags will be hidden until someone wants to read it by hitting the Show button in your post.
User Created Topic Locks: This is exactly as it sounds. This feature allows a topic creator more control over their topic by giving them the ability to lock their own topic. This feature does have its limitations and guidelines. If you wish to create an information only topic (ie list an event, instructional guide, how-to, etc) you may lock the topic immediately upon it's posting. If a topic has become derailed to the point that it doesn't address your original intent or has strayed off course you may lock the topic as well. However, in the event of this type of action it is not going to be used as a means to 'get in the last word' before locking the topic. When this reason for locking a thread is used it should either just be locked or if the need for any response is desired ONLY post "This topic has been locked by the Original Author" Nothing more need be said in this case. If this request is not followed the 'last word' will be removed and a warning will be given. After three violations you will get a one week 'vacation' from posting privileges. The original author also holds the ability to unlock any topics they have locked previously at a later time. To use the Lock/Unlock feature all you need to do is be the original author of the topic. Go to the first post and look in the upper right hand side next to the Quote/Modify/Delete buttons you should see Lock . You will press this button and you will be asked if you really want to lock the topic. There you will choose Lock or Cancel. If you choose Lock your topic will then be locked. If you choose Cancel you will be taken back to the topic and it will not be locked. To unlock the thread you will hit the Lock button again and verify the actions.
